>Last Orders
Last Orders is Felixstowe Lifeboat’s 7.5-metre Humber Ocean Pro rescue boat, purpose-built to provide a fast, reliable and highly capable response to emergencies at sea. Powered by twin 115hp Tohatsu outboard engines, she has a top speed of approximately 36 knots, enabling our volunteer crew to reach those in need as quickly as possible. Designed for demanding inshore conditions, she is capable of responding to a wide range of incidents, including people in danger, vessels in distress, medical emergencies and search operations.
To support safe and effective operations, Last Orders is equipped with three Raymarine navigation displays, incorporating radar and Automatic Identification System (AIS) technology to provide enhanced situational awareness in all conditions. The vessel also carries three Icom VHF marine radios, allowing the crew to monitor multiple radio channels simultaneously while maintaining communications with HM Coastguard, other emergency services and casualties. In addition, the lifeboat is fitted with a FLIR thermal imaging camera, a vital asset during search operations, enabling the crew to detect people and vessels in darkness or poor visibility, significantly improving the effectiveness of search and rescue missions.

>Lifejackets
The Crewsaver Inshore 380N Lifejacket is an essential piece of lifesaving equipment worn by every operational crew member. Specifically designed for the demanding environment of inshore lifeboat rescue operations, it provides 380N of buoyancy, offering exceptional flotation and reliable self-righting capability to help turn an unconscious casualty onto their back and keep their airway clear of the water. Its ergonomic design ensures outstanding comfort and freedom of movement, allowing crew members to carry out rescues safely and effectively in all weather conditions.
Each lifejacket is fitted with the crew’s communications radio, ensuring constant contact with the helm and fellow crew members throughout every rescue. It also carries a Personal Locator Beacon (PLB), enabling the rapid location of a crew member should they enter the water or become separated from the lifeboat. Together, these features provide vital protection, communication and reassurance, helping to keep our volunteers safe while they carry out lifesaving missions.

Our Typhoon Drysuits provide our volunteer crew with essential protection against the cold-water conditions encountered during lifeboat rescue operations. Designed specifically for the demanding marine environment, they are fully waterproof and breathable, helping to keep crew members dry, warm and comfortable while responding to incidents in all weather conditions. The suits allow excellent freedom of movement, enabling volunteers to carry out rescues safely and effectively both on board the lifeboat and in the water.
When worn alongside our Crewsaver Inshore 380N Lifejackets and other personal protective equipment, Typhoon drysuits help reduce the risk of cold-water shock and hypothermia, providing vital protection should a crew member enter the water. They are an indispensable part of our operational kit, ensuring our volunteers remain protected while carrying out lifesaving missions.
